Facility

United Universal Industries, Inc. is located approximately 30 miles southwest of Chicago. Our facility is adjacent to Interstate 80 in Joliet, Illinois in the shadow of the new Chicagoland Route 66 Speedway.

We occupy 10,000 square feet of manufacturing space with no shortage or interruptions of utilities or other necessary support.

Roadway has a terminal in our industrial park and UPS and Fed Ex deliver daily. We have UPS On-Line and immediate access to any shipping information required.

Engineering and Customer Support

Our company is built around a strong engineering and customer support system that our customers have come to expect. Specials and product modifications are a way of life for us. Quotations are handled within one day and deliveries average 2-3 weeks. Special deliveries can be accommodated within 1-2 days if necessary. We do not have voice mail, so you will talk to a live person between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm central time 5 days a week. Mold Making

United Universal Industries, Inc. has the ability to do prototype molds and modifications in-house where turn around time is important. Production molds are normally produced with local mold making shops. We have 8 ea. 12 station rotary IPC molding machines. This equipment can produce 25,000,000 pieces per year in one daily 8 hour shift.

Wire Processing Equipment

1 ea. CS11, CS27, CS9 and CS26 cutting machines. Coiling and de-reeling equipment, hanking and tying equipment. Hot stamping, labeling and barcode capability and dozens of wire stripping machines, OJR and special purpose machinery.

Termination Equipment

Amp, Kenco, Benchmaster, Arkles and many other presses are available along with crimping dies.

Testing Equipment

Full UL continuity and hi-pot testing equipment along with cable scan AHT-200 test equipment and numerous special purpose testers are available.

Solder Stations and Dip Soldering Facilities

Heatguns, bag sealers, adhesive applicators and electric screwdrivers are among the hundreds of other hand tools that are available.

Machine Shop

We have a full service shop with end mil, surface grinder, lathe, welders and other support.

Inventory

We carry a large inventory of wire, cable, terminals, connectors and other components required.

Computer System

Order entry and all levels of manufacturing is controlled through a state of the art IBM computer system.

Quality Control

We are UL/CSA approved and we employ basic QC practices to insure the material coming in and the finished goods going out are made to the highest quality level possible.
